Please wait until image appears, Forsyth Park 1 Forsyth Park is a large city park on 30 acres. It is located along Drayton St. in the historic district. The park was originally built in the 1840’s. You’ll often see sunbathers and Frisbee or Soccer games. Also, there are concerts held at the park. The popular fountain at the north end of the park was added in 1858. In the middle of Forsyth Park lies the Confederate Memorial Statue. It commemorates volunteer soldiers who died fighting for the confederacy.
